BoatQuest Pre-Viewing Intelligence Reports are generated automatically using publicly available listing data — photographs, descriptions, specifications, and asking prices. The AI analyses this information to produce listing assessments, price benchmarks, and suitability summaries. Reports are not based on physical inspection of any vessel.

2. Not a professional marine survey

A BoatQuest report is not a marine survey and cannot replace a physical inspection by a qualified, independent surveyor. A professional survey will identify structural issues, osmosis, engine condition, safety equipment status, electrical faults, and many other factors that are invisible in listing photographs and descriptions.

BoatQuest reports cannot assess any of these things.

3. Not financial, legal, or insurance advice

Nothing in a BoatQuest report constitutes financial advice, legal advice, or insurance advice. Price benchmarks are market data comparisons, not formal valuations. BoatQuest is not FCA-authorised. You should seek independent professional advice before committing to any purchase, financing arrangement, or insurance policy.

4. What scores mean

Scores in BoatQuest reports are listing-data scores only. They measure listing completeness, information quality, and suitability to your stated requirements — not the physical condition of the boat. A high score does not mean a vessel is in good condition. Only a qualified surveyor who has physically inspected the vessel can assess its true condition.

5. Price benchmarks

Price benchmarks reflect comparable advertised asking prices in our database — not agreed sale prices. They are a general market reference only and do not constitute a formal valuation or appraisal. Actual market value may differ.

6. Shipping estimates

Any shipping cost estimates are indicative ranges only, based on typical market rates. Actual costs depend on vessel dimensions, weight, route, port fees, and timing. Always obtain quotes from licensed marine transport operators.

7. Always instruct a qualified surveyor
